• In 1896 held first modern Olympic game in Athens, Greece.
• The Olympics was a religious event. Every four years between August 6 and September19 Olympics were held in honor of Zeus at Olympia.
• Pierre de Coubertin was named the father🤵 of the Olympics. 

Modern Olympic held in every 4 years because to respect the ancient origins of the Olympic games the

five rings on the Olympic symbol represent the five continents. Such as Asia, Africa, Europe, America,

and Oceania. These rings indicate red🔴, yellow🟡, blue🔵, black⚫, and green🟢 colors. 

The international Olympic committee is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Fast, adorable, strong is the motto of the Olympics. 

Running🏃‍♂️ is the first game of the Olympics. In addition to sprinting, wrestling, chariot

racing, are old Olympic games.

At the present, there are 33 sports in the Olympics. Such as athletics🏃‍♂️, football🏐, boxing, road cycling🚴‍♂️, rowing,🚤 and etc.

Women’s Olympic games started in 1900 in Paris. In 1924 the winter

Olympics were introduced. Since 1994, the summer, winter Olympics have been held separately. 

Between 1896-2020, the united state of America won the Olympics most of the time and won

2636 medals. In addition, Soviet Russia won 11222️⃣, and Great Britain won 974 medals3️⃣. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics already won the united state and china and ROC won second and

third place. Micheal Phelps was the most medalist in Olympic history🏆🥇. In order Larisa Latynina🥈, Paavo Nurmi🥉won second and third place. 

In Olympic history, in 1948 Sri Lanka first participated the Olympics.  In 1948 Duncan white

won the first Olympic medal to 400m hurdles as a Sri Lankan. After Susanthika Jayasinghe won

the second medal to 200m🏃‍♂️. in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Both medals are silver🥈.
